Before it had a name, it began with an urge to make—to spend hours creating something by hand that could one day become a small part of someone's story. Resin happened to be where that journey began, preserving tiny botanicals in a way that felt honest and deeply personal. As we grew, so did our curiosity, and so did the way we chose to create. It became clear that we were never building a brand around a single material, but around an idea.

We named it जeevni—meaning biography—because we believe the jewellery we wear becomes part of our own stories, carrying memories, milestones and moments that stay with us long after they're worn.

When I was naming the brand, I knew I wanted it to carry a piece of home with it. Jeevni was my grandmother's pre-marital name, and choosing it felt like the most meaningful way to honour where I come from. Today, Jeevni is built by my mother and me, but in many ways, it carries three generations of women within it.

We've always believed that jewellery, much like craft, has a beautiful way of bringing generations together. It holds stories, carries memories, and quietly becomes something that's passed on. That's also how we design every piece at Jeevni—timeless enough to be worn and loved across generations, each one finding its own meaning with the person who wears it.
